I’m often amazed at how easy it is to fall into sin. Do you find that to be the case? The smallest things can set us off. In Matthew 4:1-11, the Spirit leads Jesus into the wilderness. He’s hungry. He’s alone. Satan comes to test him with temptations that would be impossible for us to endure. I’m glad that Jesus understands how challenged we are when it comes to sin. We can learn from Jesus’ example. Realize that you will be tempted. Relax – keep your focus on God who is with you in the temptation. Respond in faith. Remember that God’s forgiveness is greater than your sin and God’s plan and purpose for our lives is to trust and follow Jesus Christ.
