2017-03-26 Spiritual Light and Darkness

The text begins with Jesus seeing a man who was blind from birth; this starts a conversation with the disciples and more controversy with the Pharisees. One, Jesus sees us and knows about our suffering, weaknesses and disabilities. Jesus said, the blindness “happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life” John 9:3b. Healing displays the work of God as in John 9. The work of God in Christ may bring tangible, physical healing, as in our text, but what about the times that it doesn’t? More often than not, God provides His sustaining grace to us as we walk by faith and not by sight. The healing is for God’s glory, and the non-healing is also for His glory!
