Teaching from the Old Testament book of Malachi and the Gospel reading about the thief on the cross, Pastor Shawn shares that we are treasures of God’s grace in Christ. Malachi proclaims that we are of great value to God “‘They will be mine,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘in the day when I make up my treasured possession.” Malachi 3:17a (NIV). Also, we are a valuable blessing to each other; for in Malachi 2:16 it says that “those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.” (NIV)
