Thanks and Praise to God for our August 20th Sole Hope Party!
We had two activities going on that day in the Fellowship Hall both to help Sole Hope. One was the shoe cutting activity. We used the pattern from Sole Hope for cutting the tops for a kid’s shoe. We divided up into different stations; some traced; some cut and some assembled. The second activity of the day was to put Care Kits together. A Sole Hope nurse will hand out the kits we made along with a wash basin, soap, and clothing before the patients return home from their stay at the Sole Hope Outreach House. The Purpose
Kindness is king. We don’t do this to just do a good work, but because God loves people and He loves people through us. Kindness connects us with people in the most excellent way; as the Apostle Paul wrote, “This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:12-15 (NIV)
