I was born in Salem, MA. In my early teens, my family moved to Southern California. I attended Concordia University in Irvine, California, where I met my wife, Jill, and we were married in 1981. Our passion together has been to share the Word of God and the love of Jesus.
We followed the Lord’s call to missions and church work in Sierra Leone, Guatemala, the USA and Namibia. I have served as a translation advisor for indigenous teams working on Old and New Testament projects.
Besides serving the Lord in missions, God has also given me the joy and privilege of serving God’s people as a pastor in Mexico, the USA and Namibia. Living and working in diverse cultural environments has given me a deep appreciation for the power of God’s Word and the freedom that we have in Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God works in and through the Word to create and sustain faith regardless of one’s culture, language, background, or problems. I love God’s church because it’s through the church that God is making the love of Jesus Christ known to everybody!
Jill and I thank the Lord for knitting us together in love and ministry and also with blessing us with a wonderful family: Rachel, Matthew and his wife Madeline, Timothy and his wife Kristi.
