2017-02-26 Reflect Jesus

When our attention is not on who Jesus is and how much he loves us and cares us, we are deficient. The comforting thought of his power, working in our lives, is meant bring order to the chaos. The point of the transfiguration, and the biggest challenge that it really poses to us as believers, is to walk daily in the confident assurance that Jesus is with us when we are back down the mountain, living our everyday lives. For example, the book of Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. 7 And God’s peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (NCV)
